Jared is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with extensive experience in the field of nursing. With a career spanning over 14 years, Jared has made a significant impact in the lives of countless individuals through his commitment to providing high-quality care in nursing homes and we are honored to have him be a part of our clinical team at The Bridges.
Jared’s journey in the healthcare industry began as a certified nursing aide and eventually he went to school to obtain his Registered Nurse Degree. During his studies, he displayed exceptional clinical skills and a genuine empathy for patients, which quickly earned him recognition as a standout student at DMACC . This recognition led to his first job as a registered nurse at Madrid Nursing Home.
Throughout his early years as a nurse, Jared quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating exemplary leadership skills and a natural ability to connect with both patients and staff. His passion for improving the quality of care in nursing homes led him to seek a leadership position.
With his degree in hand, Jared transitioned into a role as Assistant Director of Nursing at Madrid Nursing Home, a reputable facility known for its commitment to providing exceptional care to its residents. In this position, Jared works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. Jared later joined The Bridges of Ankeny following a natural disaster, derecho, where his nursing home had to totally evacuate all their residents into surrounding communities. Jared and his residents landed at The Bridges for roughly 30 days.
Jared’s responsibilities include coordinating and supervising nursing staff, implementing and monitoring care plans, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. He is also actively involved in staff training and development, ensuring that all nurses and caregivers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care to residents.
One of Jared’s greatest strengths is his ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment. He believes in the importance of teamwork and open communication and strives to create an atmosphere where all staff members feel valued and supported. His leadership style is characterized by his ability to motivate and inspire his team, leading to increased morale and productivity.
Jared’s dedication to the well-being of residents extends beyond his role as Assistant Director of Nursing. Jared is a huge family man, adoring his wife, Christina, and four amazing children: Oliver, Theodore, Rhet, and Willa.
