Juanita grew up as a “southern bell” and relocated to Iowa to start and raise her family. Juanita has worked in senior living for over 15 years in various roles as a CNA/CMA, nursing scheduler, medical records support, procurement, and social services. Juanita wanted to expand her expertise and was promoted to the role as finance director at The Bridges. Driven by her ambition, Juanita excelled in her understanding of insurance regulations and the “other side” of healthcare, honing her financial skills and developing a deep understanding of the complex financial landscape. Juanita demonstrates exceptional analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a natural inclination towards problem-solving.
As the Finance Director at The Bridges, Juanita, assumed responsibility for overseeing the financial operations of The Bridges, including Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Resident Trust Accounts, auditing, contract analysis and procurement oversight. Juanita’s exceptional financial acumen and leadership abilities have been instrumental in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of The Bridges.
Juanita firmly believes in the importance of financial stability to support the highest standard of care for residents. She understands that a robust financial foundation is essential for providing necessary resources, maintaining quality staff, and implementing innovative programs that enhance the overall well-being of residents.
Juanita’s dedication extends beyond financial management; she actively participates in quality assurance and performance improvement projects throughout The Bridges, assists other departments to ensure clinical compliance and stays abreast of the latest developments in healthcare regulations. Juanita is a remarkable individual who combines financial expertise, strategic thinking, a deep sense of compassion and empathy for the well-being of both the staff and residents at The Bridges. Juanita’s unwavering commitment to financial stability, coupled with her ability to inspire and lead, has assisted in transforming The Bridges into a model of excellence in financial management.
